Twilight bag drop at Birmingham Airport is available for eligible passengers flying with easyJet, Jet2, Ryanair and TUI. The service lets you drop off your luggage the evening before an early flight, so you can head straight to security the next morning.

Parking and requirements
- Free parking. The first 60 minutes are free when using the Premium Set Down car park for day-before bag drop. Before leaving, validate your car registration and baggage receipt at the on-site Customer Service Cabin. After 60 minutes, parking is £8 per 15 minutes.
- What to bring. Bring the required passports, booking references and boarding passes for everyone whose luggage is being dropped off. Check your airline’s requirements, as not every passenger necessarily needs to be present.
- One person can drop the bags. Where the airline permits it, one person can take the group’s luggage to the desk rather than everyone needing to go inside.

Flying away for a week or two?
Stay, Park & Fly is the package for leaving the car with us. You stay the night before the outbound flight, park on site for the trip, and we transfer you to Birmingham Airport. On the way home we meet you at the terminal so the car is ready to drive.
The current Park & Fly add-on is £85 for up to 8 nights of parking, or £120 for up to 15 nights, on top of the discounted room rate. Extra nights are £5. Frequently asked questions
Can I drop my luggage off at Birmingham Airport the night before?
Some passengers can. Birmingham Airport offers a day-before, or twilight, bag drop for eligible passengers on selected airlines. It depends on your airline and on whether your flight meets that airline’s departure-time rules. It is not available to every passenger.
Which airlines offer twilight bag drop at Birmingham Airport?
Birmingham Airport currently lists easyJet, Jet2, Ryanair and TUI, each with its own hours and flight restrictions. Other airlines are not included. Ryanair’s own help centre does not currently describe a day-before service, so confirm that one directly before you rely on it.
Can I use Jet2 twilight check-in for a 12:25 flight?
No, not under Jet2’s current published rule. Twilight Check-in is for flights departing before midday (before 12:00). A Jet2 flight at 12:25 is after that cut-off, so it does not qualify, even though the desk is open until 21:00 the evening before.
Do I need to check in online first?
Follow your airline’s instructions. easyJet asks you to check in online or in the app, and to bring boarding passes and passports. Jet2 says you must check in online any time from 28 days before departure and no later than 24 hours before. TUI recommends checking in online first and requires your passport and travel documents. Check the current instructions for your airline, including Ryanair if that is who you are flying with.
Can someone else drop off my luggage for me?
It depends on the airline, and there is no single rule for Birmingham Airport. easyJet says you can drop bags for anyone on the same booking, and you should bring boarding passes and passports. Jet2 says one person in the party can drop bags for up to six people, with everyone’s boarding passes and passports. TUI requires a passport and travel documents and does not publish a general rule that anyone can drop a bag for you. Do not assume a friend or relative can do it until your airline confirms.
Is Birmingham Airport twilight bag drop free?
easyJet and Jet2 both describe the bag-drop service itself as free: there is no separate charge for using the twilight desk. Check the current terms for your airline, including TUI and Ryanair. Parking is separate. The first 60 minutes are free in the Premium Set Down car park when using the day-before bag drop. Before leaving, validate your car registration and baggage receipt at the on-site Customer Service Cabin. After 60 minutes, parking is £8 per 15 minutes. What happens to my cabin bag?
You keep your cabin baggage with you. Only the luggage you are checking in is dropped the evening before. Jet2 also says you do not need to bring hand luggage to Twilight Check-in.
Is twilight bag drop available for every Birmingham Airport flight?
No. It is limited to participating airlines and qualifying flights. A later departure does not qualify just because it is close to the cut-off. A Jet2 flight at 12:25, for example, is outside Jet2’s “before 12:00” rule.
